Our History

The Company was founded in 1958 by Giambattista Pavoni. At that time it was a  manufacturing company, then, Mr. Pavoni’ son, Luca, changed it into a more modern one, broadening its horizons to foreign markets. “Those were pioneering years,” Giambattista Pavoni said, “My company was called Italforme and it used to realize handcrafted steel works.

There were ten people working to manufacture steel works for private building and tanks for diesel oil retaining; only one of us was working as a book-keeper. Any market strategy was not developed and our customers used to ask for our work only when they needed; the company’s organization and methodologies were on the average of that historic context.”
Having worked for ten years in the workshop, Luca Pavoni, now the Manager Director, got enough experience to improve the company’s business. In 1990 he founded a market oriented  company: Com.Italf. (i.e. Commerciale Italforme), meeting the commercial context’s demands by putting Italforme’s products on the market.
A leap in  quality occurred in 1994, thanks to a business partnership with one of the most important Italian group in building sector. With a radical change in its structure, Com.Italf. started implementing a rationalized and supervised  producing process. Because of contemporary needs, new departments were created: technical, accountancy, quality and purchasing. This change makes Com.Italf be able to satisfy domestic and foreign demands.

Due to these new circumstances, the company decided to move from its historical site in Gorle to Telgate in a unique working site. Here the offices and the workshop have been eventually unified to optimize the whole working cycle.
Com.Italf. invested in Human Resources to develop and vary jobs on each vocational education adopting an approach aimed at new generations and creating a Group of four companies:

Comitalf Steel Works, which realizes steel structures for civil and industrial sectors;
Comitalf Erection, the important Comitalf Steel Works’ added value, which optimises the Group’ services offering industrial structures assemblies;
Comitalf Energy, which realizes PV plants, assisting the customers in every trade and bureaucratic procedure;
Comitalf Machinery, which designs and manufactures machines for the treatment of waste materials from industrial and civil sectors.
